After 50 years, the dismissal of the Whitlam Labor government on 11 November 1975 remains a distinctive event in Australia's political history. Join us as we take you through the events leading up to one of the most historic days at Old Parliament House.

Plan your visit
Some areas of the House of Representatives and Senate Chambers are inaccessible to wheelchairs but a wheelchair viewing platform is located in each Chamber.
This tour may end at the Front Steps; access is available to the base of the steps via the accessible entry/exit. Your guide will be able to provide directions if needed.
There is seating in the House of Representatives and Senate Chambers.
