Australia's Non-Lethal Parts for Lethal Weapons

A plane drop bombs on Gaza. Two people run away. One says, 'Australia's Foreign Affairs minister says they only export non-lethal parts for the F-35 fighter jet.' The other says, 'Oh, what a relief.'

The ABC reported that more than 70 Australian companies have been involved in the production and supply of spare parts to Israel’s US-built F-35 fighter jets, with permits issued to those companies by the Department of Defence. Penny Wong’s description of the parts supplied as ‘non-lethal’ prompted cartoonists like Jess Harwood to question the distinction.
