Anthony Albanese was opposition leader for three years before becoming prime minister at the 2022 federal election. During that time he criticised the Coalition government for its hard-nosed social policies and for its lack of action on climate change. In a cartoon created just before Labor’s first anniversary in government, Jon Kudelka suggests that Albanese does not know what to do with the reins of power now that he has them.
