When new Greens MP Max Chandler-Mather questioned Prime Minister Anthony Albanese about the housing crisis, Nationals MP Pat Conaghan interrupted him to bring the Speaker’s attention to his ‘state of undress’ – namely, his lack of a tie. The Speaker was unconcerned, but the Conaghan later released a statement that asked, ‘What next, board shorts and thongs? Maybe a onesie in winter.’ Oslo Davis riffs on this theme with some historical might-have-beens.
