Pollie Waffle
Glen Le Lievre
The Polly Waffle, a chocolate bar made up of a waffle wafer tube filled with marshmallow, was first produced in 1947, but was eventually discontinued in 2009. The term ‘Pollie waffle’, as a description of a certain type of evasive political speech, has also been around for a long time. Glen Le Lievre implies that this election campaign has seen its fair share of evasive waffling.
