Upside-down World

Horacek’s single frame vignettes often go beyond the political. Published at the end of 2019, this cartoon seemed to anticipate the year ahead. On 31 December 2019 the World Health Organization picked up a press release by the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission in China concerning new cases of a ‘viral pneumonia’. The early sparks of the pandemic were alight, and soon the world we take for granted would change for ever.
