David 'MACCA' McArthur is a cartoonist with a career that has spanned more than 35 years. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1988, he worked as a political cartoonist for newspapers in Queensland and London. He joined the Herald Sun in 1997 as an editorial cartoonist, working there till 2019; he still contributes to their AFL Finals promotions each year. Since 2024 he has drawn for the Hobart Mercury as its political cartoonist.
