Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better) is an Irving Berlin song that featured in the 1946 Broadway musical Annie Get Your Gun. However, it would appear that John Spooner is also referencing the 1949 film On the Town, starring Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, about sailors on shore leave in New York. This cartoon appeared not long after the Albanese government announced an $8.5 billion funding boost to Medicare services, including $18 million in subsidised doctors’ visits.
