Former attorney-general, Christian Porter, defended his decision to accept money from a blind trust to pay his personal legal bills. Former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull called Porter’s actions a ‘shocking affront to transparency’. Facing concerns over a perceived conflict of interest, Porter chose to resign from Cabinet.
