In her role as Opposition resources spokesperson, West Australian MP Madeleine King came out in support of Labor’s commitment to net zero emissions by 2050 and the seeming contradiction of backing long-term coal exports. On thermal and metallurgical coal exports, she commented: ‘I think we go beyond the middle of the century, I really do’.
