We're All in This Together

Josh Frydenberg and Scott Morrison on a boat sing, 'We're all in this together'. A 'JobKeeper' man stands underwater holding a 'Jobless' man above the water. A young person and a casual worker drown nearby.

With poignant irony, Moir shows Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg performing the Ben Lee song ‘We’re All in This Together’. The song’s title echoes one of the pandemic’s most ubiquitous catchphrases. And yet, while ‘JobKeeper’ offers salvation to one worker, a woman and a young person are left to sink or swim. Moir highlights the fact that members of these two demographics were among those hardest hit but least assisted by the government.
