A cartoon to sum up the year. By the start of September, Australia was officially in recession, for the first time in almost three decades. Treasurer Josh Frydenberg commented: ‘Today’s devastating numbers confirm what every Australian already knows. COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on our economy and our lives like nothing we have experienced before.’
