Hardly a week went by in 2020 without protests of some form or another making global headlines — from pro-democracy demonstrations in Hong Kong to the small but virulent anti-5G conspiracy rallies. Black Lives Matter was one of the most influential movements sweeping across several countries. Though Leak is making a satirical point, the movement spurred on the push to take down statues considered offensive or racist, a move many felt was long overdue.
