Join us for craft, painting and a music and songwriting workshop this autumn school holidays. Find out more below.
Craft
Explore using your voice through different creative mediums. Write songs, speeches, poems or stories; design posters, comics or collages; or contribute to our 'use your voice' bunting decorations.
- When: 11 April, 12 April, and 14 – 19 April
- Time: 10am – 4pm
- Where: Learning space. Please enter through the main doors and staff will direct you.
- Age: all ages

Outdoor painting workshop
Create a colourful artwork telling a story about your family, pets, hobbies or community in a painting workshop led by local artist, Ineka Voigt.
- When: 9 April
- Times: 10am – 11am and 2pm – 3pm
- Where: House of Representatives Courtyard
- Age: 5 – 12
- Cost: $10, accompanying adult free
- Note: all art materials will be supplied

Music and songwriting workshop
Join award-winning children's band, The Vegetable Plot, for a 'magical garden' music and songwriting workshop. Learn about vocal warm-ups and harmonies, and discover songwriting secrets to help the band write something fresh and new.
- When: 13 April
- Times: 10:30am – 11:30am and 12:30pm – 1:30pm
- Where: Learning space. Please enter through the main doors and staff will direct you.
- Age: 5 – 12

Plan your visit
The House of Representatives Courtyard and Learning space are both wheelchair accessible.
The courtyard is a grassed area with concrete paths. For lift access to the courtyard, enter through the doors located on either side of the central staircase at the front of the Museum. There are signs marked 'Accessible Entry'.
Seating is available in the Learning space.
