Join author and illustrator Sophie Beer for an interactive digital event to celebrate Harmony Week!
During this session, students will hear Sophie read two of her picture books, Kindness Makes Us Strong and You're Fabulous As You Are. Students will be invited to consider how they show kindness to others and celebrate who they are. Sophie will also answer questions and talk about her creative process.
Kindness Makes Us Strong
Whether we share a toy or include someone in a game, all acts of kindness – no matter how big or small – make the world a better place.
Kindness is doing what you can, where you are, with what you have – in Kindness Makes Us Strong, Sophie Beer introduces us to a bunch of cute kids doing just that.
You're Fabulous As You Are
Sophie Beer celebrates gender expression in all forms in You're Fabulous As You Are, whether it's wearing sparkly tutus or stomping around in big black boots, to having messy fun or quiet time.
You're Fabulous As You Are tells kids it's okay to choose any colour or change your mind, and encourages them to be completely and unashamedly their fabulous selves.
