Former Liberal leader Peter Dutton puts fuel into a van labelled 'Pauline Hanson's One Nation.'

In the lead-up to the election, the Liberal Party moved to put One Nation above Labor and other candidates on some how-to-vote cards. The strategy was designed to help the Coalition win seats over Labor and undermine Clive Palmer’s Trumpet of Patriots party. However, it was criticised by insiders, who thought that long-term Coalition voters might be put off by any link with One Nation and its policies.
